Covid 19 Twister

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a challenging time for everyone worldwide. It has forced people to adapt to new circumstances and face unprecedented changes in daily life. As an individual, I have learned a lot during the pandemic, both personally and professionally.

One of the most important things I learned during COVID-19 is the importance of resilience. The pandemic has tested the mental and emotional strength of individuals globally, and I am no exception. I have learned that resilience is crucial to face difficult times, and it can be developed by adopting a positive outlook towards life, staying connected with loved ones, and taking care of oneself.

Our first product

We learnt to be innovative and creative during the covid 19 pandemic. I was a 12 year old kid whose school was online and had nothing to do after so me and my father decided to make plastic face shields for the frontline workers who didn’t have safety equipment for their protection. We provided that too many small and big hospitals including government run hospitals.

A 12 year old me help my dad…

After that we saw an article online that showcased the usefulness of UV-C light rays in disinfecting and killing harmful microbes from the surrounding air. This triggered a new chain of thoughts. We first bought 2 UV-C lamps and make a cardboard fixture and installed a desktop fan. We had a working prototype in our hands.

Our first TechMed prototype

It wasn’t much but it was a start to something. We got some feedback from our doctor friend who was actively involved in handling covid 19 cases. And he stated that this kind of UV-C tech would be really beneficial in many situations for keeping the hospital staff safe.

We took our vision forward and designed a proper product that could be sold and use by the user easily. And we also named the company TechMed.

As I 12 year old didn’t have much knowledge in making or assembling products. My dad would take me to his old office where we made the UV lamps and air purifiers. In the beginning I didn’t know much but as time went on I kept on coming everyday in the office and helping my dad out in all sort of things like assembly, packaging, making invoices and much more.

Assembling duty….

We had 3 main product categories in our company techmed and those were as follows:

1. UV-C disinfectant lamps

2. UV-C Air purifiers

3. Salt based air humidifiers

The pandemic has also taught me the importance of empathy and compassion. COVID-19 has affected millions of people worldwide, and it has been a humbling reminder of our interconnectedness. As an individual, I have learned to be more compassionate towards others, especially those who are suffering. The pandemic has shown that we need to come together to help those in need and support each other during challenging times.

The pandemic has also taught me the importance of adaptability. COVID-19 has forced us to adapt to new ways of living and working.
