A successful leader always maintains a balance of courage and consideration with his followers and with everyone. In fact, a balance of courage and consideration is the thing that everyone should have. In the world, we generally and frequently talk with hundreds of people. Even In just a day, we talk with many people. But you may have noticed that sometimes conflicts occur between someone. Why? Sometimes we are too rude or the other. Sometimes leaders as well as some people good relationships that break due to some small conversations. In meetings, interviews, and face-to-face meetings, sometimes conflict occurs. You may have seen that on the news channel. But to not happen that, you have to maintain the balance of courage and consideration.

Courage means to show courage(bravery). It means being overly brash and undiplomatic, or lacking empathy. Courage is also bullying. When you speak or tell something to someone with anger, it means you are showing courage to anyone. Like if you are scolding your follower for doing work wrong, or for any reason, it means you are showing courage to him. Showing too much courage means having ego, arrogance, overconfidence, showing dominance, control, authority.

You don’t have to be too much polite and too much rude. And if you do, then some situations will occur like win-win, lose-lose, win-lose, and lose-win. So you always have to maintain a win-win situation and to do that you have to understand the balance of courage and consideration.

Now, here are the situations that can occur in courage and consideration. Because sometimes people do not maintain a balance between these two. If they think that they show too much consideration, then they just shift to showing courage. And that that time when you don’t maintain a balance between courage and consideration and not have a win-win situation, you can’t improve. Always to maintain a balance between courage and consideration, you have to follow the win-win situation.

The lose-Win situation occurs when you show too much consideration which the second person was showing in situation #1. If you show too much consideration, then also you lose. It’s your right to keep your words. In this situation, you will lose and lose and the other person will win-win and win. It means you are handling the winning person’s ego, arrogance, overconfidence, dominance, and authority. Showing too much consideration lows your motivation, morale, confidence, self-image, self-worth, determination. So you don’t have to be in a win-lose or lose-win. You don’t have to show too much courage and too much consideration.

This is the worst situation which mostly happens in 3 situations. In our colony, in news channels, and big boss. Lose-Lose means no one is ready to listen or show consideration, both of the persons are speaking. Both persons want to keep their words, not listen to others. In this situation, an argument occurs. You may have seen arguments in many places, but one thing is common in that. The persons who are involved in the argument are speaking. No one is ready to listen to the other person’s point of view. And altogether in this situation, no one wins. Everyone involved loses.

As a human, we have to listen, show consideration as well as speak, show courage. Showing too much courage loses, and showing too much consideration loses. Persons showing courage to each other also results in arguments. And both persons showing consideration to each other results in nothing as no conversation will take place. So to balance courage and consideration, you have to choose the situation win-win.

Win-Win as the name says winning of both sides. Here no one shows more courage and consideration. To win and let the other person win, you have to show courage as well as consideration. Win-win means to show courage(speak) as well as show consideration(listen). By following these both according to the conversation can let you and others win. If the other person is angry and showing too much courage, you have to first show consideration and then show courage by saying your point of view. Sometimes people just listen or just tell. So you have to show consideration when someone is showing courage, and show courage when you have to say your point of view. You can keep your point of view by just stoping the other in middle, or once the other person has shown his courage, told everything.

A win-win situation does not lead to an argument, conflict, or any kind of bullying. It does not break relationships. It also generates a collaborative advantage. And solves all the problems as both people listen to both as well can keep their point of view. Leaders work is not just to show courage but also to listen to their followers. Today many people don’t want to listen to others, they just want to say. But keep in mind a thing.
