a Few Words #7DaysWriting Challenge — Day 1

Starting the new year with a bang. Okay, I like it (wipe that smirk on your face and get your head out of the gutter!).

“7 Day Writing Challenge”, a little siren started blaring in my head and I could feel excuses pushing themselves forward.

When I got to that part of the e-mail, the alarm was on full swing and my brain was flooded with nagging and excuses.

On and on it droned.

I didn’t even try to silence the thoughts as I typed my reply:

Yep, a middle finger to that lazy person in my head trying to coax a ‘no’ from my lips.

All the while I was nagged by myself inside my head, part of my brain pushed forward the things I had experienced and achieved because I had said yes. (My brain is not always a jerk. Only sometimes.)
