Introducing Smart Contract Lists

Not only has tokenization increased, but smart contracts to manage and facilitate these assets have increased. With the rapid increase of smart contracts, it is difficult to separate secure, precise smart contract operations from broken code, phishing attempts and scams. Regardless of the network, projects are dealing with the filtering, identification, monitoring, auditing and maintaining of increasingly complex smart contracts and interactions. With upgradeable contracts and interfaces between various aspects, the scope of consideration is rapidly increasing. This results in many disappointing experiences and an increasing call for more hands-on oversight into smart contracts. In addition, the lack of clarity makes the process of building and composing new systems much more onerous.

Today, as part of the debut of FiHub, an aggregated Earn and Learn platform for the DeFi ecosystem, we are announcing the start of a new standard for creating lists and registries for DeFi and GameFi smart contracts. This is meant to be a community-led initiative to improve discoverability and understanding of smart contracts and smart contract strategies in an inclusive and decentralized manner.

Smart Contract Lists are meant to follow a standard JSON schema. This is to support it being hosted through various means such as IPFS, Arweave, HTTPS, ENS, AVVY and more. As a work in progress, community workshops will take place at the Avalanche Summit. There will be ongoing work as FiHub approaches its launch. The final launch will include:
