This book has opened so many doors and windows in my brain that now I feel the fresh air blowing in there. This book is so good you can’t ignore it! My mind is completely blown!

Deep work — that’s what I have wanted to do but never knew how to or where to start.

Now I have the answers.

And I’ll definitely revisit this book, again and again, to remind myself what matters to me must be my top priority.

I didn’t expect to love this book so much. I’ve got so much to learn from this gem. What this book made me realise was, as a creative, I am not alone when I say, “I don’t get the time to write”. Nobody’s got the time, but these geniuses from the past still managed to do some fantastic works. I should stop cribbing and crying about it and get to work.

A great book if you want to know what the daily rituals of the well-known writers, philosophers, architects, doctors, etc., looked like. They weren’t that different from us. They had the distractions of their times as we have ours.

This book came into my life at the perfect time. It is an ideal example of what it means to go with the flow.

Now I know that I am good where I am.

No one is going is ahead, nor am I being left behind.

We are where we’re supposed to be. If we accept that fact and learn to stay in the present, we’ll realise that we are learning and growing faster than we had expected.

One of the first questions I asked myself when I finished this book was — How did The Laws of Human Nature help me?

And the answer I heard myself say was — It made me humble.

It made me kind and considerate with not only others but also myself. My levels of being judgemental, being irritated by every second nuisance, always overthinking went way down.

Now I think before I react. I have also turned into a silent observer of people and life.

Thanks to this book, now I understand what we humans really are.
